The teams from the top part of the standings didn't have any troubles to beat their rivals in Round 24 of the Bosnian D1.
Siroki Eronet trashed Borac Nektar at home 83-52 improving to 14-8 record, what is currently enough for position No.4. Bryan Smithson (183-G-85, college: NC-Asheville) led the scorers in victory with 17 points. Young Darko Planinic (209-C-90) also shined collecting 14 pts and 16 rebounds. On the other side, Borac got 17 points and 12 rebounds from US Virgin Island big guy Omari Peterkin (204-F/C-83, college: Boston U.). His team fell to 12-10.
No.1 Igokea Partizan also celebrated in this round, but against Vitez 95-69. Igokea now has impressive 21-1 record.
Zrinjski did not have any troubles to beat Slavija on the road 80-73 and to reach 18-4 score. The same numbers also has Sloboda Dita, who cruised past Posusje as a guest 74-66. Milan Brecic (193-G-86) was a key player for Zrinjski vs Slavija delivering 23 points. Milos Mladenovic (204-C/F-82) scored 25 and Sindis Demic (190-G-83) had 24 points in loss.
Mladost faced with painful home defeat vs Grude 76-80, while Hercegovac outplayed Leotar in local derby 73-64.
Above mentioned Posusje and Slavija are the main candidates for relegation, together with Novi Grad, who already ended this season. First 6 team of D1, and most probably at this moment No.7 Hercegovac, will fight for the title later. The reigning champion Bosna ASA BHT will also join in the second stage.

Because of our intense schedule i haven't had time to update my blog and let everybody know exactly what is going on out here, so I appreciate the help on updating stories about myself and Siroki Eronet....League 8 next week!!
